Operating Principle
The device uses metal electrodes to sense the small electrical current generated by the reaction between the soil and the metal probe → This current is then displayed directly on an analog dial.

Instructions for Using the DM15 Soil pH & Moisture Tester
Before use:
Clean the metal tip (sensor probe) using a soft cloth to remove oxidation or any residue from manufacturing.
For the first time use, insert the probe into the soil for a few minutes to allow the device to stabilize.
Moisture Mode:
Insert the probe into the soil so that the three metal rings are fully submerged.

Read the moisture level using the black needle on the green scale.
For potted plants, insert the probe near the root zone for more accurate results.
Use the reading to assess whether irrigation is needed.
pH Mode:
Insert the probe into the soil at the desired location, ensuring all three metal rings are fully inserted.
For field or garden use, press soil tightly around the probe to ensure proper contact.
Wait about 1 minute, then read the pH level using the red needle on the dial.
The default needle position is pH 7. After insertion, the needle will slowly adjust to the actual soil pH (e.g., 5.5 or 6.0).
Note: If the soil is too dry or has just been fertilized, pH readings may be inaccurate. Lightly water the soil and wait 20–30 minutes for moisture to stabilize (~40–60%) before testing
Usage & Maintenance Tips
Always clean the sensor tip with a soft cloth after each use to maintain accuracy.
For inconsistent soil conditions, take measurements at multiple points and use the average value for reliable results.
When monitoring soil amendments (e.g., liming or pH adjustment), retest 1–2 weeks after soil treatment for accurate assessment of pH changes.
